We’ll see you at Viracocha! One of our favorite places to play!

We'll see you at Viracocha! One of our favorite places to play!

We are so looking forward to playing a set revolving around for Derek’s songs for piano, something we don’t often get to do. There’ll be new songs that will be on our upcoming EP (stay tuned! Just finishing the last tracks 🙂 and a few brand news one’s that we’re really excited to debut. Below is the info and links for the other bands that we’ll be playing with:

‘My Second Surprise’ is Israeli-born Ayal Nistor’s outfit.

After recording debut album ‘Avoidance As A Way Of Life’, Ayal moved to Brighton UK and released it (2005) under his own ‘StagFrenzy Recordings’ imprint. The album was signed to EMI Music Publishing and debut music video ‘perfect cure’ won the Israeli Grammy and played on MTV Europe. It was time to move on, this time to the States, where he spent part of his childhood.

After playing SXSW 2007 he settled in San Francisco and started recording his second album, on which he’s doing pretty much everything (except for strings & horns). This sophomore effort, titled ‘Time To Move On’, was mixed in Tucson AZ by Craig Schumacher (Calexico, Iron & Wine) and self-released in 2009.

ayal nistor- vocals, guitars
burton li- guitars (the botticellis)
tim vickers- bass, upright

A San Francisco boy/girl duo, creating stripped-down guitar-based songs that are alternately fervent, bouncy and pensive.

Formed in 2005, The Matinees are PF Dumanis, former keyboardist of glam rock band Blue Period and Jaime Borschuk, former guitarist and vocalist of Plan to Pink. Borschuk also creates home recordings under the name The Bright Grey Wing.

All My Pretty Ones Summer Update!!!

Just wanted to let you guys know what All My Pretty Ones will be up to for the summer, and fear not, we’ll definitely be playing AND we’re going to be recording another EP in a few weeks!  This one will be studio recorded by the great Dan Wool, who recorded our first CD, Tone Poems.  We’re very excited to show off some brand new songs as well as some old songs with new arrangements.

We’ll also be on a compilation our good friend Davyd Nereo from BeatbeatWhisper of great Oakland bands, which will include Ash Reiter, the Blank Tapes, amongst many others.

Look for us again in the Mission in SF at Virococha on July 15th, and then August 9th at the Hotel Utah!  I’ll be posting fliers soon. 🙂

Winter news

Well, not so much winter in the Bay Area, but technically I guess 🙂  We had a great time at Viracocha and thanks to everyone who came out!  Ash Reiter was really great and I’m sure we’ll play again with her soon.

We release our new EP, Live at Maybeck Hall, and we’re excited to keep spreading it around.  We just got word that it’s available on CDBaby to order, for those that can’t make a show.

We’ll be playing again in Berkeley on March 19th at the Starry Plough, with Jonathan Mann and the Rock Cookie Bottoms, and we’ll be back in SF on March 30th at the Red Devil Lounge, playing with our friends from L.A., Rose’s Pawn Shop.

Hope you can make it out, and hope you get a chance to listen to the new EP!
